Dave Warner,
I wasn't (am not) at NAB. I was just reporting what I read in the Usenet
Group.
As for power requirements, I am speculating that there won't be a battery
option for the system. (Wattage required for HD's alone would drain
conventinal batteries in a heart beat I'd bet) An A/C connection only
would seem more likely. But who knows... In either case it's rather
amazing to me, and although the rumor of a Windows based Toaster/Flyer
made me a little disgruntled, the potential for this new machine turns me
on! Especially since I can put my Flyer Card in it (or trade it in) and
for 3 grand have the new system with TBC and LW 4.0 for NT!!!
You know... Newtek was at a crossroads. Turn to another platform or become
extinct like Commodore. Their performance over the years, (Altho quite
irritating on release promises) is exemplary and shows what a truly
innovative and successful company they've become.
Kepp bringing me affordable tools to make money and enjoy what I do
Newtek, and you'll have a customer for life.
